The new Praise, Gratitude, & Joy seeks to encourage, enlighten and convince today’s mature woman of a very important fact: “You are never too old to become what you were meant to be.” God had a plan when you were formed. Retirement in today’s society happens long before we have reached the end of our potential to serve the Lord.
On our blog you will find articles about our positions and responsibilities as the Matriarchs in our families; our roles and responsibilities in our churches; and how we are to function as productive, caring, helpful, and loving members of our communities – far and wide. Our guest writers each month, enrich our lives on a variety of subjects relevant to growing, learning and achieving our potential at this stage of our lives.
Oh, and yes, we are going to have fun along the way.
Things are coming together; the plan is progressing with God at the center of it all. I am very excited to see where He leads us on this journey together.
If there is a particular question or issue you would like to see discussed, please drop me a line at firstname.lastname@example.org
We are always looking for contributors to join us and share their knowledge and experiences as they grow into the person God meant them to be.
Foremost, we want articles that
- shine a light on our relationship with our Lord and Savior;
- show how He has led us to new discoveries of our potential and possibilities and
- share how our love and commitment to Him is always our number one priority
If you have a passion for writing and would like to share your journey on this road to fulfillment, becoming what you were meant to be, we would love to hear from you. Here is the link to our Guidelines for Submission
As always, may everything I write bring Him honor and glory.
HOW AND WHY OF THE ORIGINAL PRAISE, GRATITUDE, & JOY
WHO & WHERE
My name is Faye Johnson-Jones, and I live in Jacksonville-Florida. I am retired after 45 years in the rat race called Corporate America. I am a born-again Christian, saved by the grace of God, and forever grateful for His gift of Jesus Christ. As this blog grows, I will share more of my story and how I got here.
WHAT & WHEN
I started posting “Today I am Grateful for” on Facebook in July 2014 in response to a challenge from one of my girlfriends to post for three days, three things I am grateful for and to ask three other friends to do the same. Thank you, Teresa.
WHY I CONTINUE
As I started each day thinking about what I was most thankful for, I found a peace and clarity I have not had in many years. Since this has proven to be such a boost to my prayer life and my relationship with God is stronger every day, I feel called to share this journey and extend this challenge to all who find their way here.
MY CHALLENGE TO YOU
Try this exercise…start your day with praise, gratitude, and joy and see where it takes you. Each day join me here and add your GRATEFUL list in the comments of the current day’s post. Do this for at least three days and challenge at least three of your friends to join you.
What you share may be precisely what the next person needs to hear. Let’s praise Him together.
